Things to Do

For our family and friends from out of town, we hope you to enjoy the county as locals. (We’ve made printable guides for Sonoma County and San Francisco!) Here are some of our favorite spots to explore in Sonoma County.

Where to Eat

Avid Coffee Santa Rosa, Petaluma
Great coffee and breakfast, outdoor seating.

The Bagel Mill Petaluma
Great breakfast + lunch bagels. Located in a sunny, walkable part of downtown.

El Molino Central Sonoma
Worth the drive! This is our favorite Mexican food in the area.

El Cielito Lindo Santa Rosa
Authentic and delicious, they have great margaritas and outdoor seating.

Handline Sebastopol
Casual, outdoor dining! Savannah’s favorite place to eat in Sebastopol. Please order the fries + housemade ketchup.

Little Lucca (near SFO)
The teeniest shop you’ve ever seen! Chris’s favorite subs. Order the Dutch crunch bread. (Warning: it’s a bit dive-y)

Quail and Condor Healdsburg
Voted one of best bakeries in the country. EVERYTHING is good. Get a loaf of bread for you flight home.

Red Bird Bakery Santa Rosa
They make their own English muffins! All of the pastries are good, and they serve quality coffee. No outdoor seating.

There are plenty of yummy things to enjoy in Sonoma County. This list includes all of our personal favorites.

Retrograde Coffee Sebastopol
Chris’s favorite coffee spot. Breakfast sandwiches, toasts, outdoor seating. Fun stickers, too.‍ ‍

Russian River Brewing Santa Rosa
Our favorite beer stop after a hike. Great Pizza too! There is also a larger location in Windsor, but the SR one has the best atmosphere. Sit outside and enjoy the some redwoods.

Sol Food Petaluma, San Rafael
Puerto Rican, casual dining. Order the limeade! Petaluma location is newer, larger, and has outdoor seating.

Sonoma Pizza Co Forestville
Beautiful outdoor patio, casual vibe. Amazing wine and beer selection!

Spinster SistersSanta Rosa
A long-time favorite of the Moore family. Intimate and casual, the menu is always high quality.‍ ‍

Yogurt Time Santa Rosa
Nothing fancy, but always hits the spot. Tastes extra good after a walk around Spring Lake Park.
